Can We Talk Symposium by Taraji P. Henson
Healthlincs MWC was invited to the Boris Lawrence Henson Foundation Can We Talk event on May 3, 2025 to provide Mental wellness and community resources to participants. The event had over 1000 students in attendance who interacted in several mental wellness activities including Yoga, hip hop therapy, massage therapy and screening by our partner CCCC.

Mental Wellness Month Event at Wise High School
In recognition of Mental Wellness month and recent passing of a student at Wise High School, the Mental Health Department hosted an awareness event at the school on May 8, 2025. During PGCPS track meet, Healthlincs MWC participated with sharing Information about our program and the importance of mental wellness.

MWC Hangout Event at Shephard’s Cove Women & Children Shelter
Healthlincs had the opportunity to host a Mental Wellness Hangout Event at Shephard's Cove Women & Children Shelter on April 30, 2025. Participants engaged in breathing exercises, Poetry writing and creating affirmations.

Mental Wellness Hangout Event
Healthlincs hosted a Mental Wellness Hangout event at James Gholson Middle School on March 17, 2025. We had a total of 123 8th grade female students who participated in breathing and stretching exercises. Students also learned how to develop self confidence, safe social media usage and mental preparation for high school.

We had a very successful and engaging Hangout event at CMIT South High School on March 12, 2025, with over 150 students in attendance. Students learned coping skills and encouraged them to not be afraid to reach out for help.

Healthlincs Thanksgiving Basket Giveaway
On November 25, 2024, Healthlincs successfully hosted a Thanksgiving Basket Giveaway serving over 50 families of students from our assigned Prince George’s County schools. This initiative provided essential holiday items to support families during the Thanksgiving season.

Healthlincs Family Hangout Event
Healthlincs, in partnership with the Boris Lawrence Henson Foundation, hosted a Family Hangout event at the Creative Suitland Art Center on August 15, 2024. Families came together to participate in mental health-focused activities, including yoga, meditation, and open conversations centered on wellness and emotional well-being.

Healthlincs, in partnership with the Boris Lawrence Henson Foundation, hosted a Family Hangout event at CMIT North High School on August 10, 2026. Families came together to engage in mental health–focused activities, including yoga and meditation.

Healthlincs MWC in partnership with the Boris Lawrence Henson Foundation hosted a hangout event on February 21, 2025 at Temple Hills Community Center. Participants enjoyed an evening of yoga and mental reflection activities.
