Healthlincs Mental Health Week

Healthlincs hosted Mental Health Awareness Week across our assigned Prince George’s County schools throughout the week of February 9th to promote emotional wellness, reduce stigma, and encourage healthy coping strategies among students and families.

Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration

In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, Healthlincs participated in Charles Carroll’s festivities. Our care coordinator, Stephany, proudly represented the Hispanic community by wearing traditional attire, engaging with families, and sharing valuable information about the MWC program including resources to support social determinants of health.

MWC Summer School Outreach and Support Program

Heathlincs were active within 6 schools during this year's summer program. We provided academic support to students who needed to improve their grades along with other SDOH needs.

End of School Year Hangout Event

On June 27, 2025, we had our end of school year Hangout event at Temple Hills Community Center. This event brought together 30 students for a fun and engaging experience. During the event, students discovered the therapeutic benefits of journaling and poem writing as creative outlets for self-expression.

Field Day and Community Outreach

On June 11, 2025, Healthlincs participated in Walker Mill Middle School field day event and sponsored over 300 meals for students. Our Care Coordinators assisted with serving and engagements.

MWC Hangout at PG Parks and Rec Youth Conference

Healthlincs MWC had the opportunity to participate during this year’s PG parks and rec youth conference on May 3, 2025. Students grace our wellness pod where they discovered the art of free journaling, allowing their thoughts to flow freely onto their paper.

Hangout Event at Walker Mill Middle School

Healthlincs hosted an Hangout event at Walker Mill Middle School on June 2nd, targeting students who were struggling with suicidal ideation. With the help of our mental health specialist, students participated in breathing exercises and learned about effective coping skills.
